2011 Taiwan Tour & Gourmet Guide_Tourism Bureau【Taiwan Foods TV】

【Taiwan Foods TV】 Taiwan (Traditional Chinese: 台灣or 臺灣, Simplified Chinese: 台湾tái wān) [1] is an island nation of about 36000 km² located off the coast of southeastern China, southwest of Okinawa and north of the Philippines. The island is governed by the Republic of China (中華民國Zhōnghuá Mínguó) or ROC. Shaped roughly like a sweet potato, the nation is home to more than 23 million people and is one of the most densely populated places in the world. Besides its crowded cities, Taiwan is also known for steep mountains and lush forests. In addition to the island of Taiwan, the Republic of China also governs the Pescadores (Penghu), Quemoy (Kinmen/Jinmen), and Matsu. Generally speaking, the foods of Taiwan are derived from mainland Chinese cuisines. It is possible to find Szechuan (四川) food, Hunan (湖南) food, Beifang (北方) food, Cantonese (廣東) food and almost every other Chinese cuisine on the island. Taiwanese renditions of these cuisines tend to be somewhat greasy, though, and completely authentic mainland cuisines are rare. This is especially true for Cantonese cuisine, as demonstrated by the lack of Cantonese speakers on the island. The Taiwanese are also passionately in love with eggs and seafood, as you will discover during your stay on the island. Fruits are another famous part of Taiwanese food. A wide range of fruits can be found at local fruit shops and stations. The subtropical climate allows different fruits to grow nicely. Actually you can find

Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen Weisse Ale | Chad & Friends’ Beer Reviews

Season 6, episode 14. Originally aired 4 July 2009. BREWERY’S DESCRIPTION & INFORMATION: In May 2007, Garrett Oliver traveled to the 400 yr-old Schneider brewery in Kelheim, Germany, to brew Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse. This was dry-hopped with the local Hallertauer Saphir hop variety. In July, Drexler brought his yeast to Brooklyn and brewed Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, choosing the American Amarillo and Palisade varieties for the dry-hopping. Now you can taste the result, the latest beer in our Brewmaster’s Reserve series. The beer has a full orange color and the aromatics pair the banana and clove notes from the Schneider yeast with the mango and citrus qualities of the hops. The bitterness is robust but balanced, and the beer has a clean, hoppy finish. Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pairs well with Caribbean seafood preparations, crab cakes, jerk chicken, Thai cuisine, Szechuan cooking and many Mexican dishes. 8.5% ABV HOW THIS BEER RATES: Rate Beer: 99 (overall) 99 (style) www.ratebeer.com Beer Advocate: A- (users) beeradvocate.com My rating: watch the review and see! Yummy…Healthy Szechuan Food! “www.ShawnDrewry.com”

tinyurl.com www.ShawnDrewry.com Bought some healthy buffet today (though I am trying to watch what I eat) and had to show everyone I am trying to get it right. Not just physically, but spiritually. The spiritual part is hard enough by itself, because giving up alot of old bad habits are hard to do alone. But, with prayer, and patience, things do die out eventually. tinyurl.com tinyurl.com tinyurl.com www.ShawnDrewry.com PS YES, I have entered into Bill Phillips’ http challenge :)

“”Wanna buy a suit?”" Alasdairm’s photos around Hong Kong, Hong Kong

A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Hong Kong, Hong Kong by TravelPod blogger Alasdairm titled “”Wanna buy a suit?”" Alasdairm’s travel blog entry: “Waking in a small, windowless, hot room the first thing on my mind was to find somewhere else to stay, anywhere. Being Hong Kong however the options were limited at the budget end of the scale in terms of quality cheap accommodation with the infamous Chunking Mansions being the main alternative, which from reports was not a favorable option. Walking down Nathan Road, Hong Kong appeared even more crowded than Tokyo which would have been hard for me to believe just a few weeks earlier. Signs and neon advert hoardings hung over the sidewalks in abundance, think Blade Runner at ground level rather than roof top level, either of which though I was keen to see. “Wanna buy a suit?” I turned to see a guy flaunting his tailored suits just to the side and made my first mistake, acknowledging a tout, heck even making eye contact with them will see them trailing you half way down the street. After freeing myself from one I immediately bumped into another then another, “Cheap watch, Rolex”. At least I now know what the earth would be like if overtaken by mindless zombies. Once past the lower end of Nathan Road (they tend to swarm around just outside Chungking Mansions with enough shady characters hanging around there to dim even the lights of Hong Kong harbor at night) they eased off allowing me to reach the Star Ferry
